The program is child-oriented. Play is the center of the curriculum, as we feel that it is through play that a young child most readily learns to solve problems, to develop skills, to clarify concepts, and to express ideas. Children will also gain an understanding of the properties of materials, number and spatial concepts, physical coordination, communication skills, and an awareness of print, book handling skills, and a basic understanding of the alphabetic principle.
