Our school has a theme based curriculum that provides new experiences through Literature that is enhanced with many opportunities to experience the printed word and increase letter recognition and vocabulary. Music and Finger plays that encourage math and rhythm, Community Awareness through visits to and from people of various vocations in our community, Small and Large Group Times that allow time for sharing personal thoughts and Manipulative and Art experiences that allow the child to express his own originality. These events assist the child in becoming self-motivated in the areas of planning, problem solving, social and emotional development, making and following rules, large and small muscle development, imagination development, language skills, size concepts, location (over, under...), use of art supplies, and recognition of colors, shapes, alphabet letters and numbers.
