Instead we try to guide children to a level of learning in line with their development. The Porter Preschool and Kindergarten programs us the ABeka curriculum, which is a Christian based curriculum used throughout the country. Areas of study include: counting, comprehension, phonics, time/day/week, colors, etc. Children are encouraged and challenged with daily learning activities. Art is used in the classroom as a means of encouraging their creativity.
