Welcome to the Preschool and Child Care Center, a ministry of the First United Methodist Church of Sanford, established 22 years ago. This non-profit childcare center is located in historic downtown Sanford at 419 South Park Avenue. The purpose of our center is to minister to all children and provide an opportunity for quality early learning experience with Christian love and nurturing. We have an experienced staff with tenure (5 years plus average per staff member), each has had a national background check and has been screened locally by the Department of Children and Family services. The staff has CPR and first aid training and we have staff members who hold their CDA certification (Child Development Associate) and other advanced certifications in early childhood education. Our staff is required to maintain 25 hours of continued training annually in the field.
